Friday went smoothly: we packed the runners and gear in our cars and we were off. When we arrived in Ocean Shores, it was breezy-but no rain for the time to play on the beach. We had a good pizza dinner, Kelsey was asked to the homecoming dance by a teammate, :-) then most of the kids (and coaches) enjoyed the local bowling alley. Saturday was just a wet soaker day all around. It was not too cold, and the wind was not bad at Hoquiam High School. Thankfully the team has a large tent to keep most of the stuff dry. Our girl's team took 1st, and the boys 3rd for the large schools that were there. Kelsey had her best run of this season. It was a soggy ride home, but we all made it safely.

Mango apparently was quite upset that I had packed up the car and left him home alone. Pat came home on Friday to an entire box of granola bars torn up and eaten out by his kennel. He is regressing-as he gets older-he is doing more bad things, things he never used to do.
Pat was able to get the new doors on the van. Yay! And a bigger yay for having a very handy husband.
I finally saw Michael after noon today. It was just nice to lay my eyes on him and give him a hug. Then I proceeded to load him up with a lot of food to take back to his dorm room.
Time to go see if the bean soup that I have been cooking in the crock pot all day tastes any good.
