we did it!

To plan and actually succeed in a surprise is so much fun! Many months ago, Kerri and I, with Paul's ok, started planning a surprise girl's getaway weekend for Krista's 40th birthday. Her birthday conveniently coincides with a long weekend. If you want details, here is Krista's take on the entire experience on her blog.
We went to Vancouver, BC. Kelsey came along too. It was so much fun, and we couldn't have had better weather! We stayed downtown-walked to the restaurants (if you ever want an awesome meal-we highly recommend the Italian Kitchen), ran down along the waterfront at Stanley Park, met friends for coffee, and did a lot of laughing.
On the way home, we stopped in Bellingham, had lunch and did a quick tour of WWU with Michael.
