Ryan and Krista came to cheer for the team.
As you can see the sun was out for this meet. It was a little on the cool side. The parents kept shifting the cheering location to stay in the sun. The kids each ran the mile and 4x400. No personal best times today. The meets are taking a very long time to finish. The schools no longer run separate JV meets. So, now there are multiple heats of certain events. And, as much as I think everyone should get a chance to run, there needs to be a limit. On these nights, we are not getting home and eating dinner until 8:30 pm. Uggg...

Korryn,
I found your post interesting - because in Michigan, high schools don't have JV and Varsity track - it is always just one big team. Which is really weird, because there are multiple levels of most other sports! So our track meets always took several hours - and I guess we never thought anything of it, because that's how it always was! But we also didn't always stay until the end of the meet - which the coaches didn't like, but they understood that we all had homework to do too! How many schools are involved in their meets? We usually had 4 schools at each meet. It's so fun for me to read about Michael and Kelsey running!
